HCWA for members

HCWA is an association of independent firms of accountants throughout the UK. The association enables member firms to share best practice and provides access to specialists in many areas of business-related advice. HCWA provides the backup and technical support needed to run a modern accountancy practice.

HCWA prides itself on the quality and integrity of its member firms. Members take part in quality assurance programmes for both audit and tax. HCWA members’ best practice is encompassed in the nationally communicated procedures, which serve to protect members and their clients. Operating procedures are developed by Crowe Clark Whitehill LLP, a Top 10 audit firm in the UK (www.crowecw.co.uk).

Members have many opportunities to meet and discuss burning issues, as well as sharing best practice.

Members receive wider support in areas including practice management, training, technology, marketing and regulatory compliance. There is an annual meeting of firms as well as events throughout the year in specialist areas including tax, pension schemes, charities and technology.

Members can make use of their national contacts and specialities. HCWA is a business affiliate member of Crowe Horwath International, one of the world's leading global professional services organisations. Crowe Horwath International is represented in nearly 590 offices in over 100 countries (www.crowehorwathinternational.com).
